Pay by Bank lets you pay directly from your bank account at checkout — no cash, no card required. It's fast, secure, and available at participating dispensaries.
Throughout this guide, Pay by Bank is referred to as PBB.
What is Pay by Bank?
Pay by Bank is a checkout payment option available at participating dispensaries. Instead of paying with cash or a card, you securely link your bank account once — and pay directly from it every time you check out, online or in store.
Many dispensaries are cash-only due to banking restrictions in the cannabis industry. Pay by Bank gives you a safe, digital alternative that works just like paying a bill online. No card numbers, no ATM trips, no handling cash.
Sign up and securely connect your checking or savings account. Takes about 2 minutes.
Shop online or in store at any participating dispensary and select Pay by Bank at checkout.
Payment is pulled directly from your bank. No card, no cash, no delays at the register.
★ Why use Pay by Bank?

Is Pay by Bank safe? +
Yes. Pay by Bank uses bank-level encryption and secure authentication to connect to your account. Your full account number is never stored or shared with the dispensary.
Does Pay by Bank work like a debit card? +
It works similarly — payment is pulled directly from your bank account — but it's not processed through a card network. It uses a direct bank transfer, which is why it's available at dispensaries where traditional card payments may not be accepted.
Will my loyalty points still apply? +
Yes. Paying with Pay by Bank doesn't affect your loyalty points or any dispensary discounts. Everything applies as normal at checkout.
Why was my Pay by Bank payment declined? +
Declines can happen for several reasons — insufficient funds, a spending limit being reached, too many recent attempts, or a temporary system issue. Check the error code you received and visit our Errors & Declines article for a full explanation and next steps.
My bank account was unlinked. What do I do? +
Some banks automatically unlink accounts for security purposes after inactivity or a bank-side security event. Go to your Pay by Bank account settings, find your bank account, and tap Relink. Once relinked, you're good to go.
Can I use Pay by Bank at any dispensary? +
Pay by Bank is available at participating dispensaries only. Ask your budtender or check the checkout page on your dispensary's website to confirm it's accepted at your location.
What if I need to unlink or change my bank account? +
You can manage your linked bank account directly from your Pay by Bank account settings at any time. Visit our Managing Your Account article for a step-by-step walkthrough.
